June 2011:
Belgium YEA supporter, Susan Ball,
has been very busy using her creative talents to fundraise for
YEA. She has made 100 brick 'sculptures' and so far has sold
half of them. Susan also uses this opportunity to tell
people about the work of YEA.
She says
"H-Art-voor-Anderen" Meaning "He-Art-for-Others" is an
art project using art works as a means to share the gospel and
to sell them to raise money for charity.
The art concept for YEA has the moto "Buy a brick... Help
rebuild lives"
Each sculpture having a label with the logo of YEA and the
website for those who would like to know more to go online for
more info.

It has been really wonderful
to see so many people interested and respond to this project, and for
the opportunity to share about the work of YEA here in Belguim.
In just one week more than 65% of the 100 sculptures were sold in the
old wind mill in Stene dorp a village in Oostende. But it isn't
finished yet.. on the last day of the art expo just as
I was about to pack up the ones not sold, new
doors opened and the opportunity arose to place the rest of the
artbricks in a new location next week, what a blessing!
So it continues .. helping rebuild lives for
the Youth in East Africa one brick at a time.
These past weeks of preparing and creating these sculpture for YEA was
through the Lords words that were impressed in my spirit from psalm
127. this morning as I was awakening the
Lord reminded me again of these words.
Ps 27 ; 1 Unless the lord builds the house, its builders labour in
vain.
All other things in our life (artwork, sculpture...) are in vain if it
isn't the Lord building it, the fulfilment and
joy and satisfaction of knowing that we labour not in vain is priceless.
How wonderful to know it is the Lord who is
building the house, building His church, rebuilding lives, through
YEA.
Blessings Sue.' |
